Welcome to the Paper Wishes (http://www.paperwishes.com/?ptpsalt) BLOG HOP -   we are so glad you are here to help us celebrate World Card Making Day!   Some card making day trivia for you:

  • Today, card making is a worldwide hobby, especially popular in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom & Ireland, and the United States.

This blog hop gives you TWO ways to win!!!

First – leave a comment on ALL THE BLOGS and a random drawing will be done to choose the winner, who will get a prize package from Paper Wishes.

Second – play H.O.T.P. (Hot Off The Press) bingo with us.

·         Visit each blogger on the blog hop to find their bingo square.  (Make a note of the blog name for each square too!)

·          Click on this link to find the official BINGO CARD (http://forum.paperwishes.com/showthread.php?p=32493#post32493). (If you aren’t a member of the Paper Wishes message board yet, you are not only missing loads of fun but you may need to register to access the bingo card!)

·         To win, you will need to make a bingo (4 squares in a row, horizontal, vertical or diagonal) by doing what it shows in each square.  There are some free squares; there are some where you just have to post something specific on the message board, and there are some that tell you to use something.  Where it tells you to USE something, that means to make a project (any kind of papercrafting project – a card, an ATC, a bookmark, a tag, etc.) with the item listed in that square.

o   Go to the Paper Wishes Message Board and click on “post reply” on THIS THREAD (http://forum.paperwishes.com/showthread.php?t=2297).

o   In your reply tell us the four squares you are using for your bingo.

o   Tell us the square number AND the name of the blog for any squares you are using that were mentioned on a blog.

o   Post the items for each square in your reply, including a picture of the project you made for any square with directions to USE something.

·         We will randomly select a winner from all the correct bingo entries!  Be sure that we have either your blog address or your email so that we know how to contact you if you are a winner!!!

·         Your bingo must be posted to the Paper Wishes message board not later than midnight Sunday October 2nd U.S. eastern time to be eligible for the prize drawing!

Papercutz Challenge

I spotted this challenge on a blog Papercutz Challenge that I designed for when it first started and being my favourite colors of course I couldn't resist! The colors are Black, Pink and White so I remade a card that I had made for a contest on the PaperWishes Message Board last year. It's a card that I was very happy with & use very often with a few tweaks!!

Zentangles...

I made this card recently for a swap on the Paper Wishes message board. The swap was based on doodling or take it a step further to zentangles. I will freely admit that I got very involved in this one & spent an afternoon lost in my own world of drawing & coloring! (When I say afternoon I mean nearly 5 hours) We had take away for dinner that evening!! I made each star individually & attached them with 3D Foam for some dimension. I wanted to put some glitter on too but it wouldn't have been dry enough for getting in the post. It has definitely been my fave challenge so far, thanks Nancy.

First Craft Fair of the Year!

Hey guys I survived my first trip of the year to my local craft fair. I was a little apprehensive this year with the credit crunch etc, while there was lots of people there I made half the amount I made last year. There were 3 card makers this year, normally there is only 2 of us but the new girl was in my line of sight & I don't think she did nearly as well as I did. (I think my cards were priced to sell) I had alot of people who bought from me over the last few years coming back which I take as a great compliment.
Too be honest I'm happy to sell a few, more space for more & a few bob for more stash!!

Wedding Card

Hi guys
Here's a card that I made for my cousin's wedding, she really loves anything vintage so I decided the new glittered acetate I had would give it a contemporary twist. I love making cards for friends & family as you know their style & can create something they will love.

Paper Wishes Swap

Just a quick update on a card I made for Paper Wishes Swap that I took part in. The "brief" was to make a male birthday card but it wasn't to be outdoorsey, sporty, hunting or cute, not a whole lot to work with...I had great fun doing it though! Plain & simple was how I went, the wording is from a very gorgeous RAK I received from Trish on another swap and I used my new Martha Stewart punch with some HOTP papers. I've managed to sell a few cards every week through my friend at the market, not enough to make my first million but nice to be able to move a few to make room for more! I've to make 2 wedding cards for my cousin's wedding one obviously from me & the other from my mother who wants a really girlie one which I'll have to think about. So stay tuned for the pictures...

Wedding Card

I had an order this week for a special wedding card so I think this one fits the bill nicely even if I say so myself!! I made it based on a sketch that was posted on a message board I belong to. My friend is selling a few cards every week which I'm delighted with, slowly but surely! Every little bit helps to relieve my credit card...
